2K has announced on Twitter that they are adding 16 new historic teams to their game. The two new teams that they have announced are the 1996 Miami Heat featuring greats like Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway. The team finished 42-40 and lost in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs to the Boston Celtics 0-3. They have also announced that the 1999 New York Knicks will be one of the other historic teams. The 1999 Knicks featured Patrick Ewing and Allan Houston and reached the NBA Finals where they lost to the San Antonio Spurs 4-1. All 16 teams will be revealed on 8/25.
