2K has announced even more historic teams for NBA 2K18. The two teams that they have announced today are the 2002 Sacramento Kings and the 2004 Los Angeles Lakers. The 2002 Kings feature Chris Webber, a player many fans have been clamoring for since his last appearance in the 2K series in NBA 2K12 on last gen consoles. The 2002 Kings went 61-21 in the regular season and lost to the Lakers 4-3 in the Western Conference Finals.

The 2004 Lakers featured Kobe Bryant and Shaw, along with two extremely old and out of prime players in Karl Malone and Gary Payton. This team went 56-26 in the regular season and lost to the Pistons 4-1 in the NBA Finals of that year. 2K has planned for all historic teams to be announced by 8/25.
